Providing First Aid can be a matter of life and death, since most emergency cases are dependent on the proactive action of the first responder. If the first person who encounters the medical emergency as it takes place does not act with accuracy and out of her medical training, even smaller medical emergencies can turn severely hazardous.
The First Aid course was earlier referred to as the ‘Senior First Aid Course’, ‘Applied First Aid’ and ‘Level 2 Workplace First Aid’. It is in line with the regulations, advisory and directive guidelines issued by the Government of Australia, Australian Resuscitation Council and all other states/provincial authorities.
The course will prepare you as a professional or designated first responder to take action including providing CPR, controlling the external bleeding or shock, noting the medical condition & procedures applied and contact the emergency care services. The program has been designed keeping in mind all the curriculum, testing and certification updates as provided by the Government of Australia.
The First Aid Training in Adelaide location is designed to provide life-critical skills to medical professionals, healthcare professionals or even assistant to such professionals working in community or professional settings.
The course will provide you with the tools, training, practice and mental models necessary to provide emergency care when a situation arises. Even if you are non-medical professional, you should have a basic understanding of how to provide first aid. Practically anyone can find herself or himself in a situation where immediate first aid help can save the life of an individual. You might be able to help someone you love or even someone you may not know in dire need.
You don’t have to be a first aid expert. The medical emergency response teams are trained to be quick and in providing first aid. However, you may have to apply the basic procedures till the time they reach the premises. Hence, if possible, apply the basic first aid and then call the emergency room. If you are not sure what to do, directly call the emergency services. An emergency team will be quickly dispatched and you will be guided about the basic processes on the phone. Never leave a person in need unattended.
